Atua for when you’re gathering

Our tūpuna wove stories and pūrākau to remember, and better understand the world.

In 2022, Kahu Kutia of Kauae Raro Research Collective developed a series of 14 cards of atua we encounter in the taiao.

This offering has come about through wānanga and a range of sources. These may not reflect the whakapapa where you’re from but we’re proud to share printable versions of these cards with everyone.

Scroll to the bottom of the page for some downloadable versions of these beautiful illustrations by Kahu.

You’re welcome to print, share, and wānanga with these images in whatever way suits your practice. We only ask that you uphold the generous spirit in which these have been produced. These are intended for cultural and educational purposes, not for any individual to profit from.
